#LikeAFlame is set during the Gilded Age, with rampant political corruption and a lack of agency on part of faeries, as well as being set during the second industrial revolution. Jobs are hard to come by for the fae, and capitalism is taken to the extreme. You hold onto what you have for dear life.
My work in progress is set in a fictional version of Seattle 1889, where faeries have no rights and are fighting for equality. It's a story of being seen for who you truly are and not having to fit into molds and preconceptions of what people are like. #LikeAFlame

Well I took a 2 week break from writing and then cranked out the entirety of chapter 2 in the span of 72 hours. I have no idea what control is. On a plus side, #LikeAFlame chapter 2 should be posted in the next few days! #WritingCommunity
I've been taking a break from writing #LikeAFlame to read about the Victorian period because I hadn't had enough under my belt. I want to get through one more book before I start chapter two, but I promise that more is coming! I'm about 3/4 through my first research book. #WritingCommunity
