I think the same like you. It's important to speak up about the issue: why not cast a actor who doesn't need a fat suit like #LikeFlowersInTheSand or #ThisIsUs. I think the mimic of actors is reduced/limited and the face seemed for me to artifical. But I wouldn't alone therefore boycott a drama.

The Best K-Dramas of 2024 It was an excellent year for Korean dramas — and with Squid Game season 2 on the horizon, there's more to come.

That's true! I just got remembered about a kdrama I liked very much. It's #LikeFlowersInTheSand
JangDongYoon had to gain 14kg for his role. Imo that's the better choice. It's more authentic and doedbt bother the mimic and facial expression...

#LikeFlowersInTheSand it's a very quiet story about a rural small town with big characters. The production value it's really good but the story suffers from the use of unnecessary troupes and misuse of its strongest point.
