π Asian green bee-eater (Merops orientalis) The Asian green bee-eater, or little green bee-eater, is a colourful bird found in Asia. It has a vibrant green plumage with a long, slender body and elongated central tail feathers. These bee-eaters have a distinctive black eye stripe and a black beak. The crown and upper back are tinged with golden rufous. They are known for their remarkable aerial agility and their ability to catch and feed on flying insects, especially bees, wasps and ants.
