The Ponte dell'Accademia is one of only four bridges to span the Grand Canal in Venice and is named for the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, which from 1807 to 2004 was housed in the Scuola della Carità together with the Gallerie dell'Accademia, which is still there. The bridge links the sestieri of Dorsoduro and San Marco.

Venice has its own bar food and it's heavenly it's like Spanish tapas and is called Cicchetti comes in hundreds of forms, whether it be meat, fish, or veggie-based. The following are just a few of the true Venetian classics you’re likely to find – * Little fried meatballs (polpette) of either beef (carne) tuna (tonno) or eggplant/aubergine (melanzane). * A little octopus (polpo) skewered by a toothpick. Morbid? Maybe. Delicious? Definitely. * Sarde in saor – Venetian style sardines… usually with onions, vinegar, pine nuts, and raisins (I know it sounds weird as fuck, but trust me on this). * Baccalà – incredible creamed salt cod, usually served on crostini or a slice of polenta. * Mozzarella in carozza – fried mozzarella… a.k.a the unbeatable hangover cure. There will also probably be tiny sandwiches, various marinated vegetables, local cheeses, lashings of cured meats, and pretty much anything that’s able to fit on a piece of bread or crostini. Whatever you end up choosing, a plate of 4 or 5 cicchetti should only set you back about €6-€8.

✨🏝️✨Isla Providencia #1✨🏝️✨ 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴 I took 4 classic film cameras with me on this trip, this shot was captured with the gorgeous Plaubel Makina 67 W on Kodak Ektar 100 I will be starting a film camera review and comparison channel on YouTube very soon. On this trip I was putting the Nikon FM2T and the Pentax LX through their paces... Which won? Follow me to find out more and watch this space ! I visited Colombia for a few weeks just after Christmas and flew out from Bogota to the island of Providencia for my second visit. I first ventured there whilst travelling in 2010, this time I was accompanied by my wonderful friend Maya who worked as a Doctor there for two years and showed me a whole diffeeent side to this paradise island. Originally entitled Providence by an English Puritan colony established in 1629 by the Providence Island Company, and was taken by Spain in 1641. Forts and cannons dating back hundreds of years can be found scattered all over the adjacent Santa Catalina Island which guarded the approaches to the islands only natural harbour. The privateer pirate Captain Henry Morgan used Providencia as a base for raiding Panama, and rumors suggest that much of his treasure remains hidden on the island. Many parts of the island are named after Morgan.
