"From a Distance" is a song by American singer-songwriter #JulieGold, initially penned in 1985. Gold's friend #ChristineLavin introduced the song to #NanciGriffith, who first recorded it for her 1987 album #LoneStarStateOfMind. A successful cover version by #BetteMidler was released in 1990.
