We're lucky to have a beautiful stretch of the Coast Path right on our doorstep. The clifftop route between Silecroft & Gutterby offers sweeping views of both the fells & the long shoreline, with the Isle of Man on a clear day. #lovewestlakes

We've seen quite spectacular sunsets this summer so far, and now it's the time of the year when the sun sets in to the sea, visible from our grounds. It’s always lovely to see guests step outside in the calm of the evening to admire the view.

During heavenly, cooling dip in crystal clear water of the River Liza, a pleasant 14.2°C, encountered this shy Brown Trout parr who was later joined by a much more inquisitive friend (see above). Saw several more upstream.
