Gen Z Movement and Rastriya Swatantra Party Intervention in Nepal: Situation Analysis
The movement in Nepal today originally started for the rightful demands of the Gen Z age groupโ€”to end corruption and for the corrupt government to resign. This movement was peaceful, well-intentioned, and driven by responsible youth concerned about the countryโ€™s future. However, taking advantage of the situation, the Rastriya Swatantra Party intervened in this movement.
Using anarchic elements and their own activists, the Rastriya Swatantra Party carried out violent activities such as vandalism, arson, theft, and looting. In this process, they succeeded in forcibly freeing their party leaders, especially Rabi Lamichhane, from jail.
Rabi Lamichhane, after obtaining American citizenship, had committed banking crimes in the U.S. After returning to Nepal, he opened a party and was jailed for embezzling millions of NPR from cooperative organizations. He still has two cases pending in America.
This incident makes it clear that political parties exploited Gen Zโ€™s peaceful movement to fulfill personal interests by spreading violence and chaos. The true purpose of the movement was to oppose corruption and hold the government accountable, but infiltration and violence created insecurity and disorder across the country.
Today, thousands of dangerous criminals have already escaped from jails. Courts, government offices, airports, supermarkets, and historical sites have been damaged. Such a situation has created an unsafe environment for ordinary citizens.
Arson, destruction of private property, and violent activities were not the objectives of Gen Z. The transformation of the movement into violence has had a serious impact on peace and security in the country. The international community also needs to pay attention and understand the real situation in Nepal.
Gen Z youth remain committed to fighting corruption and demanding accountable governance in the country.

Wishing peace to all citizens and youth of Nepal. We are all responsible for protecting the beauty, history, and safety of our country. Violence and destruction never bring solutions. Peace, understanding, and unity are the true sources of our strength. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

It is unfortunate that the royalists and the Rastriya Swatantra Party disrupted the peaceful movement for their own interests. This independent youth movement will remain peaceful. Let us support the youth. Let us ensure that infiltration like today does not happen again.

I think Nepalโ€™s hill cuisine is the best because I was born, raised, and educated in the hills. For example: I love eating millet *dhido* with *gundruk* pickle, tomato chutney, and homemade cow or buffalo ghee mixed into the *dhido*.
