Steven had initially been horrified when he woke up, though he eventually decided having 20 years less to live was better than dying on the table, and Mom (acting like sisters when others were around was weird!) said she'd support his transition once the rehab was done. But first, he had to meet Jack, the man who had preserved Anny's body and thought Steve was her revived, recreating their last date before the OD. Ally pointed out that Steven could be more bisexual or nonbinary than he'd had reason to consider, and there were worse things than having a guy like that for a boyfriend or even husband if you find the world tough to navigate in changed circumstances!

Of course, Bethany hadn't said that part of funding would be selling the device that could change them back, or just how much fund-raising would involve chatting rich men up at parties. Claudine seemed to love it, but Nadine was worried the apple didn't fall far from the tree in terms of using her to her potential!

That's why Lisa figured it was time to go - there were a lot of ways the change could become irreversible with one's judgment impaired, and while Lisa figures she and her sorority sisters would be better friends than the guys who had him stealing panties, she absolutely did not want to explain this to their parents!
