I’m a bit frustrated frankly by the commentaries that cite good faith efforts by the Americans in #MC14. This is akin to bringing flowers on Valentines’s Day but otherwise being an arse girlfriend most other times of the year.

This is one screen shot of a bigger unfolding story where the US is attempting to enforce its will on the organization, while some are resisting.

Turkey tells the WTO Ministerial Conference #MC14 it won’t oppose adding the 128-country Investment Facilitation deal to the WTO rule-book as a "plurilateral" (ie, among only part of the WTO’s membership). That leaves India. Will it back down too? Unclear from this⬇️
