ESL Presents Visiting Scholar David Wallace-Wells, Bestselling Author of The Uninhabitable Earth. Climate crisis is here - how can we slow the process? Wallace-Wells predicted much of the dizzying, disorienting situation we're in now—not just the growth of pandemics, but the cascading way that multiple climate-fueled crises (wildfires, air quality hurricanes, infectious disease aided by ecological destruction) undermine our ability to respond effectively to any single one. Thankfully, the underlying solution to all of these challenges is the same: stabilizing the world's climate. Wednesday, May 1,2024, 7pm, in the MCC Theater of the Robin & Tim Wentworth Arts Building. Free to MCC Students, Faculty, and Staff, $10.00 for the General Public. Parking in Lot F. Reserve your tickets here: https://form.jotform.com/240583306158153.
