Been quiet on here recently, but just wanted to thank everyone who's checked out, played, and contacted me about Mother: The Revelation!

It gives me motivation (but unfortunately not the time) to keep working on other games in the series

And tonight in #MTRGame updates, I have finished staging the sprite (easy because it's a single sprite with only varying expressions), staged the music, and gotten the website mostly set up and ready

Counting that progress as a win for today

Some more #MTRGame progress today... got the main menu worked out, exported the final sprite into the game, and set up a bunch of the other menus

Tomorrow(-ish): A logo, maybe getting some game music in...? And then sprite staging and such

Feeling weirdly unmotivated this weekend, but I've gotten at least the text message NVL-mode screens done (including the choice menu)

Again, not my greatest UI work, but counting progress as a win at this point ๐Ÿ˜…

Just a quick #MTRGame update: I (obviously) didn't hit my goal of finishing the writing by this past weekend, but we're now at 14,407 words and I think closing in on the end

So hopefully writing will be complete by *this* weekend, and then more UI and such

That's probably around half of the game written? Hoping to have it fully written by the end of the week (and have the phone GUI done) so I can do sprite staging, music, and testing

The "Messaging program" GUI is done, but I need to override a lot of the NVL mode styling... which is a problem for tomorrow-Bob ๐Ÿ˜…

It's, uh... definitely not the nicest GUI I've ever done, but I guess it'll work

(Still have to do the phone text message and "Discord" message GUIs anyway)

Now I'm kind of dreading it ๐Ÿ˜…

#MTRGame is up to 6500 words, and I should make more progress on it today, so... hooray for progress?

It's a lot more linear than my games tend to be, but I also told myself 2024 would be a #GameDev light year, so easing back into writing with a simpler story makes sense
