The new-to-me (purchased on eBay) Filson Double Mackinaw Cruise wool coat showed up today.
I’m pretty happy with the way it fits. I have a flannel shirt on underneath, which is good because it’s unlined and is made of very itchy, thick wool.
It’s nice and warm!

A Filson Double Mackinaw Cruiser wool jacket.
Based on the Woolmark tag to the right of the Filson Garment tag, this jacket was produced in the 1980's, sometime after the Filson family sold the company in 1981, but before the 1990's production date tags were used. So, I'm going to call this a 1985 jacket, making it 40 years old. And it looks almost brand new! I got this for a good used price for a Filson Double Mackinaw Cruiser. The new ones on the website are so very expensive! Used is definitely the way to go.
I was searching around for a used, buffalo plaid Filson Double Mackinaw Cruiser wool coat, and found this one online for a good price. It's in great shape! 😀
Based on the Woolmark tag, it was made in the 1980's. I bought it, and it should arrive on Tuesday.
