Student Matinee Season Begins at The Smith Center with "Maddi's Fridge" Student Matinee Season has begun here at The Smith Center’s Education & Outreach Department! The first field trip of the new school year welcomed a stage adaptation of the children’s book “Maddi’s Fridge” by Lois Brandt. Presented by Childsplay – a nonprofit theater group based in Tempe, Arizona – dozens of elementary schools and thousands of students and educators filled Reynolds Hall for the free student matinees as part of our central mission to provide arts access and education to children across Nevada.
