Volothamp Geddarm or Volo from Bauldur's Gate 3 standing in a wooded area telling a story as he summons small illusions and embers. The illusions include a red dragon, a parchment with the symbol of the Absolute, and an angry goblin with a spear. The image of the red dragon starts to fade away as the goblin starts to appear. This last image took me a while to do because I scrapped my original idea after already working on it for a week. And I'm glad I did! Because I love the look of this one way more! From the start of this art adventure, I knew I wanted to draw Volo at some point and since I ended up drawing the schools out of their planned order, I guess I saved the best for last. I absolutely adore his portrayal in Baldur's Gate 3 and having Volo in my camp is simply a delight! It's too bad he doesn't have a bigger story, but getting to hear him greet me so cheerily every time always puts a smile on my face.

Week 8: Transmutation - Prestidigitation

Here Volo is using some show magic to add some flare to his retelling of the attack on the Grove—when the goblins showed leading a giant dragon!
...That's how it went down, right?

Week 7: Necromancy - Abi-Dalzim’s Horrid Wilting

This school of magic was tricky, and I wasn't even sure what spell I wanted to draw for the longest time. Went from vampiric touch to ray of sickness to danse macabre to this.

Week 5: Conjuration - Tidal Wave
For week 5, I decided to draw Lohse from #DOS2
Lohse was the elemental powerhouse that decimated our enemies with hellfire, lightning, and ice storms. So naturally, when I saw this spell in the conjuration table, I knew I had to draw her!

Week 4: Enchantment - Tasha's Hideous Laughter

For week 4, I drew my boi, Venali! Tasha's Hideous Laughter is a fun spell to have (as long as you have a little luck and a high spell save) and I've always imagined it as a sort of pulsing wave.

Week 3: Divination - Legend Lore

For divination week, I drew my seer, Briar! Since magic items normally come with cards describing what the object does, I thought it'd be fun to flavour the "give me this thing's lore" spell as picking cards.
