I've just learned that 93% of people wrongfully imprisoned are denied compensation when their sentence is overturned.
They have to prove their innocence "beyond any reasonable doubt".

Helen Pitcher has been made a scapegoat. The decision to wrongly reject the original #Malkinson appeal was 10 years before she joined the CCRC. I am sad to see her go, proud that she stood her ground, and it's ironic her leaving is in itself just one more miscarriage of justice.

Justice secretary to seek to remove chair of miscarriages body…
Seems to me that removing Ms Pitchers pension and instead paying it to Mr Malkinson would be, in part, a fitting punishment for this failed leader in public office.

When there has been a clear miscarriage of justice like #Malkinson they should jail one government minister a week until the compensation is paid.
That should speed things up.
