I've not been a fan of Takahashi's work so far (Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2) but I hope that I'll like Mao more since it looks more serious. The episode itself was slow, but decent aside from that. The smoothie gag was a good way to start the episode. Interesting setup for overarching plots.

Ok I really tapped in with Mao. I really liked the premise, art style and the whole concept. Really lore heavy with time/dimensions concepts and generic demon stuff but the MC, Nanoka, has a unique history that I'm excited to dive into
