Different iterations of Mikhail and Mhi'law throughout different expansions. They meet before the events of A Realm Reborn. At the time, Mikhail is working at the alchemists guild in Ul'dah to perfect his skills and find a better treatment for his sick brother, and Mhi'law delivers some goods from his hunts to them. They start getting to know each other as time goes by, Mikhail visiting the Wanderer (Mhi'law's tavern) more often. While separated during the events of Heavensward, Mikhail keeps contact with Mhi'law through letters, telling him about his well-being and how things are going in the city-state. By the end of the Dragonsong War, Mikhail has already confessed his feelings to Mhi'law but the latter neither rejected him nor accepted his confession, leaving the Warrior of Light... quite lonely. Separated again when Mikhail's adventures lead him to Othard, Mhi'law realises how much he misses his "friend/customer" and wants to see him again. They officialise becoming a couple by the end of Stormblood and the start of Shadowbringers.
