The turnaround was caused by them getting severely injured and almost dying btw. Viago benched them for a couple months (after cussing them out and calling them an idiot) and they hated feeling so useless, so they begrudgingly started taking better care of themself. #MarideRiva #MariTrauma

Mari resented Teia and Viago for much of their teens bc they killed Mari's first boyfriend. It took them a few years to accept he was a creep who had it coming bc 1. He was 17 to Mari's 13 (ew) and 2. He pressured them into things they weren't ready for (EW)
