A gold-framed half-length portrait of a girl with powdered hair, seated. on her left arm hangs an open basket full of fruit, probably apples. Her right arm is bent to hold a lapdog with brown eyes and very long white and brown hair (shih tzu?). Her gown is light blue with darker blue stripes on the sleeves; there is white lace at the low, rounded neckline and at the ends of the sleeves.
