A Super Lynx Mk. 88A (referred to as Sea Lynx by Germany) of Marinefliegergeschwader 5. This 83+02 was pictured in 2024 and received this special colour scheme for the NATO Tiger Meet 2024, although it currently still wears this outfit.

This year will see the retirement of the #marineflieger Lynx #helicopter fleet. The #GermanNavy is replacing these with 31 #NH90 MRFH Sea Tigers.

Super Lynx Mk 88A 83+10 of the Marinefliegergeschwader 5, pictured over Spiekeroog. It is specially marked for the NATO Tiger Meet '25 that was held at Beja, Portugal in September 2025. MFG 5 is based at Nordholz. Recently, the first pair of NH90-MRFH helicopters arrived here. 31 of these were obtained to replace the Super Lynx. The last one is expected to retire in 2027.
