Lethica and Marius are t4t because all good "straight" ships just have that vibe /hj (Slight EoM finally Spoilers) Honestly, I think these two are two sides of the same transgender experience coin. That being that one of them is just going through it(TM) and the other is slowly blossoming into themselves. Both are going through absolutely shitty situations and are handling it the best they can.
I know a lot of people headcanon Marius as a trans woman (which is like really awesome and cool) but to me he gives trans man vibes with TONS of religious guilt attached to it. He's so desperate to prove himself as a "real" man which is why he self appointed himself as the savior archetype. Because what has society always told us men do? They protect and save the weak, and as a knight it is basically his sworn duty to do so. He idolizes the chivalry of knighthood, how it is a symbol of good and justice. But the pressures of society have pushed him into this masochist mindset of what a "real" man should do, which is to take the brunt of every burden without complaint. Pile that on with the rigid rules and expectations of he religion and it's no wonder this poor guy is so high strung all the time. The vampirism was basically his 13th reason why at that point, so of course he crashed out by the end of it.
Despite all her secrets, Lethica, to me, seems like a very straightforward and self assured person. There is a certain confidence and cunning one must have to be a woman, especially when navigating such a dangerous life as she does. Perhaps the one thing she could control about her life is how she presented herself and she takes great pride in that. The careful construction of her appearance is a way of taking back autonomy while still fooling Shar of her complacency. Her need for control is a coping mechanism for the situation she's in but also reflects a lot of the queer experience. Society has pressured many queer people into silence, causing them to live in secrecy for fear of punishment. The one freedom we did have was fashion, which was sometimes so impactful it changed the rest of society. Lethica uses fashion/her appearance as a weapon to fool a god, and once she's free from that burden she shines even brighter than ever before. Anyways, they're both t4t in the same way I think Gomaz and Morticia Addams are t4t 🥰
