WBA super flyweight champion Fernando Martinez (17-0, 9 KOs) will defend his title against the former champion Kazuto Ioka (31-3-1, 16 KOs). The two met in July and it was for the IBF and WBA titles. Martinez earned a one-sided unanimous decision victory and became a unified champion, but the IBF got in the way, making this fight on New Year's Eve only for the WBA strap.
