Now that was scary. I was standing in tall grass and mud (not smart, I know), taking photos of wood storks, when I heard some noise. I look, nad a few feet from me is this raccoon, washing something in the water. I made a little noise and took this shot with my cellphone (too close for telephoto lens). You can tell he is considering his option, and one of them is to bite me. Luckily, he just walked away
This one was on the roof of my house, right above the front door. It threatened me when I got closer and we had a face-off. Raccoon won and I waited to get inside my house after it left of its own accord.
How can an animal be so cute and so scary at the same time?
