Devil's Tower taken from a distance. In the foreground is a hill leading up to Devil's tower with scattered evergreen trees in front of it. The trees are dwarfed by the tower itself, which rises up out of the and reaches up to the blue sky behind it. There are some white clouds, mostly to the left and above and behind it. The tower looks thicker at the base and pine trees can be seen around that part of it, but as it rises it is just rock. The top half appears to have scratch marks all the way around it and the top is flat. A Native American legend tells of a giant bear scratching it as it climbed to the top, leaving the grooves that we see today.
