Feeling very proud and privileged to be able to refresh my Advanced Powerboat certificate with some stellar boat crew volunteers at #MayoCivilDefence over the weekend! The course included coastal navigation (day & night) as well as numerous boat handling skills and search pattern techniques.

Thinking of the grieving family as the search around Galway Bay enters its second week 💔.
A big nod of respect to the many volunteers who are giving their time, knowledge and expertise to the ongoing search, especially my friends and colleagues in #MayoCivilDefence.
As #CivilDefence volunteers, we don't spend all of our time in the back of an ambulance or on a search looking for others. Sometimes, we just spend time remembering them. Like today on #WDoR2024.
