MedCities Dialogue: A conversation between Barcelona Metropolitan Area and Ramallah Municipality
The third MedCities Dialogue was framed under the title: "Advancing transformation in Mediterranean Municipalities & Metropolis for Resilient Urban Future". It was a rich occasion to hear firsthand the work done by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) in terms of resilience and sustainability, and the example of Ramallah as a city that tries to offer not only services, but a stable place to live for its citizens while dealing with daily life challenges, being under occupation. Both representatives, Mr. Jordi Castellana, Vice-president of the International Relations and Digital Metropolis (AMB) and Mr. Issa Kassis, Mayor of Ramallah, presented their resilience plans and key actions, most of them based on the facing of the climate change consequences in Mediterranean cities.
