Alsatian Heritage & Pecan Capital
The week concludes with a contrast between the cultural enclave of Castroville and the Pecan Capital of the World. Medina County, west of San Antonio, is famous for its Alsatian architecture and heritage. San Saba County, in the northern Hill Country, is a land of rivers, parks, and pecan orchards. One is defined by its European roots and proximity to the city; the other by its parks and agricultural fame. Both are charming, historic, and fiercely proud of their titles.
From Little Alsace to the Pecan Capital. Medina & San Saba Counties show the flavor of Texas.
