The first picture is a poem written by the Empress. Then pictures of caskets of sake, and wine that Emperor Meiji enjoyed. They are changed out every so many years, donated by people and companies. Also my lunch for the day. It was amazing #TokyoJapan #photography #Tourist #Travel #MeijiJinguShrine

I loved learning that the Emperor and the Empress used to fish together in this spot. How cute!

I was excited to get to visit the garden this time around. I was heart broken, when I had to miss it last year.

When I saw how the first photo captured the rain, I just loved it. I also wish I took a video of the crow. It was so cute, drinking the water, and hopping in it to play!

It was nice to see people there, even in the rain. It was also still very peaceful.

The rain had started to pick up a bit at this point, but I still took my time. I loved experiencing everything Meiji-Jingu had to offer. I didn't go through this entrance last time. #TokyoJapan #MeijiJinguShrine #Tourist #Travel #Photography #Nature #Shibuya

After Gotokuji I took a short train ride to Meiji-Jingu Shrine. I wanted to go back again this time, because there was much I had to miss out on last year. #TokyoJapan #MeijiJinguShrine #Tourist #Travel #Photography #Nature #Shibuya

On New Year’s Eve, I visited Meiji Jingu Shrine, one of Tokyo’s most significant Shinto shrines, to partake in the traditional celebrations. The shrine is a center of prayer, reflection, and making wishes for the year ahead. It remains open all night. #tokyo #newyear2025 #temple #meijijingushrine
