A seaman's Certificate for a new enlisted man in Jan 1944. The certificate show name, address, height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc. There is a small black and white photo in the top left corner of the certificate.

Henry Gosselin was a cook for the Merchant Marines. Enlisted in Boston MA. He signed up without telling his wife, left her at home with 3 kids. After the second mission, which was in foreign waters, he did not reenlist. #LynnMA #Genealogy #MerchantMarines
