I focus on intertextuality and intermediality in popular art. My new research focus (after the merry days of pirate PhD-ing) is the concept album, analyzing the lyrics. I am part of the #metalmusicstudies. I pretty much do the same as a blogger, both my own and others' blogs.

Someone remind me that my next big project in #MetalMusicStudies must have the title "The Spanish Black (Metal) Legend".

If you thought that filtering the #MetalMusicStudies results from a search with the keyword #HeavyMetal was fun, you have not done that with the keyword #Celestina. How many researchers called Celestina are out there? Why is it such a popular mineral? Is "The Celestine Prophecy" really such a thing?
