Had a blast today collecting all five station stamps in the Metro Tunnel Passport. If you collect all five you get a sticker sheet. Such a great initiative, very clever and so much fun! #MetroTunnel

One new issue with State Library / Melbourne Central that I have noticed since the Metro Tunnel opened has to do with interchanging.

When coming out of State Library Station there are no screens to tell you the next train departures from platforms at Melbourne Central. The only bank of screens […]

Caulfield Station: Temporary platform access changes from Sunday 22 February to Thursday 12 March 2026 Find all your Victorian travel information in one place – public transport, roads, cycling, and walking.

Meanwhile at Caulfield they're going to remove the Myki gates, replacing them with standalone readers. Makes sense - the gates take up a lot of valuable platform space, and there are a lot more people changing trains here since the #Melbourne #MetroTunnel opened. transport.vic.gov.au/disruptions/...

Good to see them continuing to improve the signage in the #Melbourne #MetroTunnel - this signage previously pointed you down towards to escalators that are always running up. They've now blanked it out (well almost). Good wayfinding is important.

Unless I’m much mistaken the Cranbourne/Pakenham clock at Flinders Street is still showing train times even though they’ve moved to Town Hall Station, down the street. (Correct TH platform number too.) #Melbourne #MetroTunnel

I didn't notice this signage last week, so I'm guessing it's new.
Personally I think I'd swap "City" with "Sunbury" here.
But good to see they're trying different things. #Melbourne #MetroTunnel

Hopefully smoother sailing tomorrow.

For #Melbourne #MetroTunnel watchers... trouble in paradise. Power faults - not clear if the same one causing issues on both sides of the city, or two separate ones.
Suspending the Sunbury line supposedly just between Footscray and West Footscray makes me think it's the former.

Great to have people talking not just about the #MetroTunnel infrastructure, but also about the timetables.
Need to keep pushing for timetable improvements, especially for other PT routes around #Melbourne and Victoria.
(This aired on yesterday's 4pm Ch9 news, but was recorded earlier at lunchtime)

Some people seem a little unclear about the route of the #Melbourne #MetroTunnel through the CBD.
It stops at State Library (which is next to Melbourne Central) and Town Hall (next to Flinders Street).
If your destination is MC or FS there's no need to change trains; you can use the new stations.

Big Switch first weekday📅🚇
We've seen some cancellations and delays for Frankston trains and the Metro Tunnel line - and also big problems on the Hurstbridge and Seymour lines. Also some confusion for passengers whose trains have changed.
How's it been for you this morning? #Melbourne #MetroTunnel

So I get to use the Metro Tunnel tomorrow and will save approx 30/45 minutes commuting daily. Doesn’t sound like much but believe me when you spend approx 2.5 hours commuting for work every day and then having a helluva job to do, it’s a huge saving #metrotunnel
