Two small waterfalls over a ridge fall into a river in the foreground. Steam rises where the water enters the stream because the water comes from hot springs that are well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (more than 40 degrees Celsius) there is also steam rising in the back groumd.from some of the springs and geysers. The river is called the Firehole river and travels by many geysers.including all those near Old Faithful.

For this #thermalgeek it’s Thermal Thursday. Here’s an eruption of a small #geyser [possibly MRCGNN032] in the vicinity of the Steel Bridge in #MidwayGeyserBasin, #Yellowstone. Not the best picture (couldn’t get the window down fast enough), but pretty cool to spot nonetheless.
