Gray catbird (Dumetella carolinensis)
The Gray catbird, also spelled Grey catbird, is a small, plump bird with a distinctive gray plumage, a black cap, and a rusty undertail. They are often found skulking in dense undergrowth, making them difficult to spot. Distribution: Most of temperate North America east of the Rocky Mountains. During winter they migrate to the southeastern United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
