Never liked how that Evans LP is programmed.
I prefer listening to those great Cecil tracks in continuous sequence, as on THE NEW BREED compilation - which has the added benefit of several tracks by 2 of the other 3 excellent ensembles that aren't available elsewhere.
#MissingFromStreaming
A couple years ago I checked to see how many albums that topped the Down Beat magazine poll were available on streaming services.
1965-1984: 22 of 25 (incl some ties)
1985-2009: 14 of 25
So many gems #MissingFromStreaming are at risk of being forgotten without a focused effort to make them known.

I've never owned a laserdisc player, but I have owned a few laserdiscs because who wouldn't want a CD the size of an LP?
With cover art that fits in LP-size wall displays?
BTW, *many* music concert releases only exist on laserdisc & are #MissingFromStreaming 😟

The thing that got me into vinyl in the mid 90s, however, remains an issue: The many, many, many titles from the pre-digital era released on vinyl that (still) have yet to be reissued on CD or digital download/streaming.
See my #MissingFromStreaming thread for some of them.

The point of this #MissingFromStreaming thread is not that everything missing from Spotify should be made available there. It's an awful service in many ways beyond how it exploits artists.
The point is that our cultural/historical awareness is severely skewed by reliance on streaming services.
