If you have kids, you know how stressful it is to find affordable, high-quality childcare.
My Unlock Wisconsin plan would cap childcare payments, saving a typical Wisconsin family $20,000 a year and making sure every child has the support they need.
#MissyForWI #UnlockWisconsin
In every community I visit I see neighbors coming together, finding ways to improve their lives.
As Governor I’ll spend every day lifting up that work to make sure all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties succeed.

Wisconsin families need affordable, high-quality childcare.
My plan will give immediate relief to families, saving a typical Wisconsin family an estimated $20,000/year - while supporting our childcare workers with good pay and benefits.

Wisconsin is facing a housing shortage with rent/home prices increasing faster than wages.
As governor, I’ll build 200K new homes throughout the state, saving the average renter nearly $1,200/year and lowering housing purchase prices by an average of $20K.

Too many Wisconsinites are working hard and still falling behind.
My plan will provide high-skilled training for up to an additional 100,000 workers each year, raising an average worker’s salary by $45,000.

“Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article with headline, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Missy Hughes has proposed a plan to lower child care costs.” A quote from the article is included, which reads, "What got us to this point is a mindset of not investing in our children," Hughes said. "And we are now at a crisis point where child care costs are completely out of reach."
Childcare is broken in our state; to fix it we need to invest in our families and our providers.
My plan would start capping childcare costs on day one, saving a typical family $20K/year.

“The Cap Times, Opinion guest column by Missy Hughes titled, Wisconsin needs an economic leader to fix Trump’s damage. Featuring a few sentences from the article. We aren’t here because of a natural disaster or a pandemic. This is a manmade crisis. Despite the president’s claims to the contrary, Americans and Wisconsinites are rightly extremely concerned for their families and their children’s futures.” End of the article clip. Trump is wreaking havoc on our economy.
We need a governor who understands how to grow jobs and opportunities.
I have the experience, the know how, and a plan to get it done.

I disagree because this is not what a booming economy looks like!

Truth Social screen shot of Donald Trump's post that states, "Highly Respected America First Congressman, Tom Tiffany, is running to be the next Governor of the GREAT State of Wisconsin, a very special place to me in that we had a BIG Presidential Election Win just over one year ago, on November 5, 2024! I endorsed Tom for Congress early and strong, and he won, BIG. Likewise, he has always been at my side." Followed by a statement by Missy Hughes that reads, "Tom Tiffany has always been at his side. He's been at his side as the President has decimated our farming communities, driven up prices, taken healthcare away from millions, and violated our American civil rights. Wisconsin needs a leader, not a sidekick."
