This evolving Elections Bill in #moleg includes provision for County office candidate tax clearance in St. Louis City, a good thing.
But before it's all over, the bill will be weighed down with all sorts of voter disenfranchisement and other awful stuff, a craptastic omnibus bill for MAGA red meat.
County is looking to City as a financial bailout. City is looking to County as a distraction from awful decisions its making.
In the end, MAGA #moleg will be the ruin of both.

I just read the latest data center Post-Dispatch story quoting Eco-Socialist Green Party of Eastern Missouri.

It’s the fourth year the chamber has sent the legislation to the Senate, where it has foundered. Blocked in 2023 and 2024 by members of the Missouri Freedom Caucus, it hit roadblocks from a handful of GOP senators in 2025 who argued it could penalize stay-at-home parents. #moleg #mogov
