This is massive, game-changing news for Scotland’s seas. Naturally the politicians are seeking the plaudits… but it was my amazing Mrs who approached our Councillor just one month ago to ask him to raise this #Motion4theOcean. She doesn’t seek the limelight… doesn’t do any socials - but here she is!
Happy #WorldOceanDay! The ocean is the great regulator and provider for the whole world and we should all be looking after it. Ask your local council to declare a #Motion4TheOcean today!

We went to a #motion4theocean meeting at Deal Town Council this morning with lots of local stakeholders. 🌊 💚 #workingtogether #saveourseas #lovewhereyoulive
My work on the #Motion4TheOcean is continuing with some new avenues being pursued.
And of course grant writing. My funding at Exeter finishes in the spring and I'm very keen to continue my research, so fingers crossed in that department, slow burn as it is to get research funding.
Introducing the #Motion4TheOcean to bluesky.

My PhD student, Freya Alldred is off on her first fieldtrip this week to Antarctica. What an adventure that I will hopefully be able to do next year. 😁
