The same thing happened in 2015 when the highway from Srinagar to Anantnag was suddenly cordoned off.

A Kashmiri friend advised us to take the old #MughalRoad diversion from Shopian than bypassed the main highway and ran along the LOC to Jammu.

Which is what we did!
