This is the closest we come to having a skyscraper in town (typical Haussmann buildings for scale). I'm glad someone said stop before they built more.

DH wanted to see the helicopters land this #BastilleDay🇨🇵, not take off at the end of the afternoon. So we skipped the parade on tv and came straight to Invalides. Impressive. 🚁

We got in! There was a long queue but it moved rwally fast. Only 20 minutes and we were inside Notre Dame de Paris, 3 months after reopening, almost 6 years after the fire. And over 8 years since I was last inside.
