So while this may be my last of only a few tweets this year about #NAEMSP2025 , it’s also the start of thinking about #NAEMSP2026 next year in Tampa and getting to experience all these wonderful things again. Safe travels to all my friends traveling back home today!

Great talk at #NAEMSP2025 from the Stilley Doctors on BLS cardiac arrests as the possible standard of care. Important logistics questions answered w/clarification on BLS first response, should ALS be present and when, BLS terminations, BLS transport, etc.

“It’s not basic, it’s fundamental.”

The future of bidirectional data sharing between #EMS & hospitals will be in the expanded use of TEFCA & QHINs & improved interoperability measures with incentives vs penalties from CMS Accrediting Organizations.

@maiadorsett.bsky.social, I’d love your feedback and opinion on this one!

It should be simple. #EMS shares data w/hospitals & hospitals SHOULD share data back with #EMS.

Read the NEMSAC Advisory (in Interim status, open for public comment now) on this topic & how FICEMS can break down these silos.

Fantastic talk from @maiadorsett.bsky.social about giving feedback in #EMS. This was important to me as a medic & I prioritize it as a Medical Director when I can. Too many limitations w/ hospital outcomes. NEMSAC is trying to break down silos with improving bidirectional data sharing. #NAEMSP2025

NREMT is thinking outside the box for continued competency and CE hours. #EMS is engaged in professional development & growth & deserves credit for the work put in.

Not endorsements or recommendations yet, but a sign of what might be coming.

How do you define quality in #EMS? There is no better person to answer that question than @maiadorsett!

“Quality in EMS must prioritize patient outcomes.”

Systems are complex and require attention to structural & process measures to build improved care.
