I was at #NGA25 last week with lots of looking at this. Things will change in some ways fairly soon I think - as ever there will still be winners and losers in that. And there is an awful lot of life that doesn’t actually depend on exam results when it comes to it.

That’s why my the (wonderful) #NGA25 conference was also so depressing. Seeing the experimental approaches by private schools who didn’t need to care about the fact their courses weren’t ‘real’ GCSEs highlighted the way my own students are hemmed in by the exam system and the credentialism it feeds.
