Barred spiral galaxy NGC 2903, about 30 million light years away. Just to its left is low surface brightness galaxy UGC 5086, 24 million light years away. One of the 'stars' below 2903 is a background galaxy 490 million light years away.

NGC 2903 is a rather bright spiral galaxy in Leo. A large aperture telescope can show splendid details in it, such as gentle mottling in surface brightness and hints of spiral structure.
Sketch was made on March 2nd using 20" telescope at 248x.
