Un hombre asesina a su pareja en Córdoba. La víctima estaba en el sistema Viogén y el asesino tenía una orden de alejamiento. Hay que dedicar todos los esfuerzos en acabar con esta lacra, así como ilegalizar a los partidos que la impulsan.

This is not an isolated incident, but part of the rising tide of sexual violence to which young women are exposed every day. This violence is being hushed up by the state, the media and society. Nor is the specific sexualised violence experienced by migrant women – and in particular, as in this case, Alevi and Yazidi women* – being addressed. Instead of developing new, tailored protection strategies and creating and promoting prevention and education programmes, the Berlin Senate is cutting funding for violence prevention and child and youth work year after year! We demand that responsibility be taken; we need structures that protect and empower us: This state does not protect us – my sisters protect me! We need spaces where we, as young women, can network and empower one another. We also know that it is important for us, as young women and girls, to be able to defend ourselves. We want to stand up courageously and confidently in our neighbourhoods to ensure they are safe and liveable places for everyone: We want to wage a collective struggle to bring about change in society! That is why we are inviting all girls, women and non-binary people to an open self-defence training session on 11 April at Tempelhofer Feld! Auch die spezifische sexualisierte Gewalt die migrantische Frauen und insbesondere - wie auch in diesem Fall - alevitische und ezidische Frauen erleben* wird nicht thematisiert. Anstatt neue, angepasste Schutzkonzepte auszuarbeiten, Präventions- und Bildungsangebote zu schaffen und zu fördern, kürzt der Berliner Senat Jahr für Jahr Gelder für Gewaltschutz sowie Kinder- und Jugendarbeit! Wir fordern, dass Verantwortung übernommen wird, wir brauchen Strukturen, die uns schützen und stärken: Dieser Staat schützt uns nicht - meine Schwestern schützen mich! In March 2025, the Lichtenberg District Assembly approved the establishment of a women’s centre as a new point of contact for violence prevention and counselling. This decision was justified, among other things, by the numerous femicides in Lichtenberg and the lack of support services for women. Over a year has passed since then, and there has not been a single public statement as to whether work on setting up the women’s centre has begun. A query we submitted has gone unanswered. But we do not have time to wait for a slow bureaucratic process to run its course and for it to take years before we get our women’s centre. This delay is costing women their lives! Since the decision in March 2025, we have recorded a further femicide and an attempted femicide in Lichtenberg. We demand transparency regarding the process and swift implementation of the women’s centre’s construction!
