Destructive fire is obvious, but keeping allies warm, cauterizing wounds, using the active aether in fire to heal, create elemental shields, and attract enemy attention? Pretty useful, I'd say~

Thael's parents are... Not great people. He doesn't care about their opinions, and is glad he no longer shares a species with them. As far as he's concerned, his parents don't exist.

Ignis is on rocky terms with his parents, but he does know they're proud of him. He just doesn't like it.

Alter's family are long gone, erased with their timeline. They did however disapprove of him going rogue and spending his time on ale and men when he abandoned his mission in Sastasha as a new recruit.
