In June, my husband and I went out on a date. There is a wildlife refuge in Parkersburg WV. We've driven past it many times, but for some reason, we never stopped. I convinced my husband that we should check the place out. Turns out there are many nice picnic areas, ponds, and miles of hiking trails. We took the short trail near the parking area. I took this photo as we were hiking up the hill through the woods. Most trees were rather young, growing tall and slender. But there was one on the left side of the dirt path that was much bigger and had a "fairy door" at its base. Along the ground, there were green mayapples. Meme text: "Pretty sure this is where I'm supposed to be. Instead, I find myself at work. Again."

I'd much rather be outside exploring the woods (though I'd need boots and a warm coat today). 🌿
