View from Southern Morocco where the Sahara falls down to the Atlantic Ocean. The sun is shining brilliantly and the sky is cloudless. The photo is taken from the top of a rocky sandstone cliff, the same colour as the distant sand. The sea in the bay is dark blue reflecting the blue of the sky. There is a small spit of land projecting into the sea on the left side at the edge of which is a thin band of seaweed and in the distance the sand dunes form a hard line where they meet the sea on the other side of the bay. It looks hot (it was - our maximum temp while we were there was 45 deg celcius 🥵)

A rim of seaweed lent a hint of green but the salty sea gave few plants any hope of water and the sand met the the softly lapping waves in a harsh line, matching the fierceness of the sun

Highlights were some great views of the critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper along with a fabulous supporting cast of waders & then 40+ Yellow-breasted Bunting in the afternoon 😊👍
