Really enjoyed presenting at the 10th anniversary meeting of the Italian Psychoanalytic Dialogues conference in Rome, where I spoke on the topic
neuropsychoanalysis of trauma
Many thanks to the organising committee for the invitation.

How Can We What We Don’t See? Microanalysis of Mother-Infant Communication
Predicting attachment from coordination of gaze, facial affect, vocal affect, orientation and touch
Action sequences knowledge
Today is Day 2 at the #Neuropsychoanalysis Congress in NYC.
I was deeply moved by Beatrice Beebe’s #microanalysis: how split-second interactions (gaze, voice, affect) shape attachment before language.
Like #micro-phenomenology, it shows how deep meaning is born in subtle, embodied moments. #NPSA
Early infavt development
Conclusion
Dr. Lisa Ouss (Belgium) opened with a groundbreaking talk: “Early infant development: is there anything new?” Highlighting the fetus as socially and cognitively active.
There are several indirect but significant implications for #intersex agency & body autonomy. #NPSA #neuropsychoanalysis
Dive into the fascinating world of #Neuropsychoanalysis! Learn about its foundations and exciting advancements in this talk by the brilliant @Mark_Solms #Psychology #Neuroscience #MarkSolms

Name of presentation: The relationship between psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy research, and neuroscience by Charless Jaffe, MD
Model between therapy, emotions, and affective neuroscience
Arousal as activation of embodied emotions
Common roots between emotions and affective neuroscience
Today I attended a great webinar by the #Neuropsychoanalysis Association (NPSA): Linking the Clinical Conversation, Development, & Neurobiology: #Emotion Schemas as a Bridge.
Charles Jaffe explored how words connect to emotional experience and what happens on a neurobiological level during therapy.
How dreams may be an indicator of psychotherapeutic change and memory reconsolidation
Model of dream formation by Freud
Zurich Dream Process Coding System (ZDPCS)
On March 29, I attended the webinar ‘How #Dreams May Be an Indicator of Psychotherapeutic Change and #Memory Reconsolidation’ by Dr. Tamara Fischmann, hosted by #Neuropsychoanalysis Association. It explored the Zurich Dream Process Coding System and its link to memory processes in unresolved trauma

Very interesting conference today #Neuropsychoanalysis with Gallese, Gallagher, Rosa Spagnolo and many colleagues and clinicians from different parts of Europe
I reluctantly have to abandon another cognitive device we used in #neuropsychoanalysis and #affectiveneuroscience - the "blank slate." Nope, not so blank. We say this to simplify.
Brainstem consciousness and artificial consciousness
Cognition and feeling
Out artificial agent had 3 categories of need. It has to learn from experience how to meet those needs (and thereby how to survive) in a constantly changing environment
Last Saturday, I attended a webinar, "Towards Engineering an Artificial Consciousness with Karl Friston & Mark Solms," organized by the #Neuropsychoanalysis Association.
You can find a record of a webinar if you are registered as a member of NPSA.

An Interdisciplinary Journal for Psychoanalysis and the Neurosciences www.tandfonline.com/journals/rnp...
Discussed today Regina Pally's The Predicting Brain. I like her ideas and they make sense clinically, but I don't have the bandwidth to study enough neuroscience to know how sound these ideas are. Perhaps finding them useful is enough?

On dec 14, I will be talking about repression and how it could be operationalized in terms of a „how possibly“ model.
Everyone can join (apparently you have to pay for it though).

Dr. #MarkSolms, the leader of the #neuropsychoanalysis movement, explains how the cognitive #neuroscience view of the #unconscious and the dynamically repressed unconscious of classic #psychoanalytic theory can be one and the same thing.
