Aprovecho estos días convaleciente en casa, para hacer ( espero terminarlo algún día 😅 ) un recorrido por los que más me han llamado la atención por diferentes motivos, de lo que he ido jugando estos años de sistemas retro.

Bubble Frog DX - Atratzu Review YouTube video by Atratzu

Bubble Frog is a short 2d action game which feels like a game you’d plug into your Gameboy and play in the car on the drive home.

Steam store page of Telly the TV, it’s a 1-bit action adventure platformer from Extra Mustard, a solo game developer. Released on October 25th 2025. Game description:

“Telly the TV is a throwback action/adventure platformer with a 1-bit style. You'll explore six themed worlds while collecting Remote Control Keys in a scavenger hunt gone wild. Can you defeat the baddies of TV Kingdom and restore the airwaves?”

Tagged as “cute, 2D platformer, collectathon, 2D”

Recommended Review for Telly the tv, here’s what it says: “Hard at times, but also a really simple precision platformer.

The game's hero is a TV. There is no story or introduction to the protagonist or the game’s world; you simply progress through the stages until you reach the end. Because this game aims for an old-school vibe and simplicity, you only have a few keys for movement and a jump. The controls are responsive and fair.

Your small TV can withstand some punishment but you still need to be careful. While full health is only restored with big pills, you can still get lucky by destroying an enemy and finding a smaller pill that restores only one health.

Sometimes they will drop a video cassette that grants you temporary invincibility. However, none of this matters if you fall into a hole, killing you quickly and forcing you to restart the entire stage. This is far more unpleasant than it appears because certain stages are longer and require precision platforming over tiny blocks. There are no checkpoints.

If you are good at these games, you will be able to beat it quickly because there are just six worlds with three stages each. Each world has a theme to keep things interesting. The goal of each stage is to find five keys and get to the giant TV in the end. Stages are straightforward, with only occasional stages that requires you to find keys in two directions. There are no collectibles or secrets.”

Screenshot of gameplay from “Telly the TV.” The artwork has a 1-bit pixel art style. Off black, and off white. Reminds me of sepia. The hero is a living CRT TV. And he’s standing on a platform made of skulls. There is a large skull pillar that’s holding up the platform. It’s currently raining. There’s a devil enemy bouncing towards our hero Telly. There’s a message that says, “200+ followers?!? Thank you!”

And in less than 12 hours we’ve gained over 100 new followers! Thanks everyone! That makes me feel awesome! store.steampowered.com/app/3245370/...
