Last trip upstate I spotted this guy. I think it's a #ruffed #grouse though it's difficult to say as this one seems to have recently eaten a #bowling #ball.

A small bird, a killdeer plover, scavenging in the pools along the shoreline.

We spent an afternoon at #ShirleyChisholmStatePark and in addition to #ducks and #geese we found this guy. He's Steve, a #KilldeerPlover. He was out grocery shopping. Whatever he's making for dinner, I don't want any.
