My bridge camera can be frustrating at times but I would never have seen this rough legged hawk without the zoom on the #nikonp1100. Terrible photo but definitive bird ID at 500+ yards. I'll take it. #birding

So had an experience with thousands of common mergansers at Emerson Woods along then Oradell Reservoir in NJ. Was stunning. Turns out there were some red breasted and hooded mergansers in there too. With the red breasted being a lifer. #NikonP1100 is a great tool for #birding #birdphotography

Northern Parula caught a moth while shootings. Shots like this are gonna drive me to a camera upgrade. Good light and stillness = great pic. movement and bad light = second shot. I'll take it as the zoom lets me get the shot to begin with, but I'm left wanting... #birding #nikonp1100

Congrats and for some reason I love the blurry, distant hard to see pics that get you a positive ID. It's why my first birding camera is the #NikonP1100. This is my most recent id challenge. I think it's a bairds which would be a lifer if I was confident enough.

Had a turkey vulture fly at me then circle about 10-12 ft at eye level. freaked the hell out of me. Tried getting a shot, but he was too quick then he landed on a wind device. Crazy experience "captured" on my #nikonp1100... #birdphotography #birding
